Purchasing Prints

When purchasing a print, you can expect meticulous attention to detail. Prints are rich in detail, depth and colour. All of my printing is done with the finest printers and papers available today. Prints are superior in every way to web images.

Various print options are available for all of my photographs. Below each image there is the option to purchase prints. If you are after something particular, which is not available then, please contact me and I will do my best to answer your query.

Some images may not be available at the largest sizes. As part of my commitment to high quality imagery I only print at sizes that are appropriate to the size of the original image. This ensures that every print meets my high expectations of quality and detail. All professional papers that I print on produce excellent results, but paper choice is often dictated by the image, so this is best made at the time of printing by myself, or if you request a certain type of paper please contact before making your order.

ILFORD Smooth RAG – 310 gsm

Rag Photographique is a 100% cotton museum grade white Fine Art and photo paper. The exceptional smooth white tone is achieved during manufacturing by introducing natural minerals to the process. It has been developed to address the need for continued longevity requirements in the Digital Fine Art market. Rag Photographique offers a unique extra smooth surface with a sensual feel. It also provides one of the highest achievable Dmax currently available on the market, making it ideal for fine art photography as well as fine art printmaking.

ILFORD Galerie Smooth Pearl – 310gsm

GALERIE Smooth Pearl Paper features the very latest HDR (High Dynamic Range) optically clear nanoporous coating for outstanding imaging performance combined with the benefit of “touch dry” from the printer. The high density heavyweight base has a natural photographic white tint to produce prints with excellent colour gamut and high sharpness. The pearl surface eliminates glare and finger prints giving the true look and feel of a photographic print. It is compatible with all high quality dye and pigment based inkjet printers.

ILFORD Metallic Gloss – 260gsm

It’s a gloss media with a remarkable metallic pearl finish. With the right images it can really make them sing like no other paper – with a highly three dimensional look. I recommend this paper for all my landscape photographs rich in contrast and detail. The finish is similar to silver halide metallic photo papers, and offers exceptional image clarity and brilliant colour reproduction with a high-gloss metallic finish. This paper is what I use for all my Acrylic Facemounts, as it brings a metallic or pearlescent quality to colours.

Acrylic Mounted Prints

Your photo is mounted to the back of a UV resistant 6mm acrylic sheet, creating an airtight bond and letting you view the image through a crystal-clear glossy surface. This mounting process preserves your images from scratching and fading and creates a near 3D visual effect, which will be sure to make a bold statement. It also gives the image more depth and colour saturation due to the clarity of the acrylic sheet. The image is backed with a white 2mm Dibond to add rigidity, with an aluminium sub frame to float it from the wall. Due to the different light penetration and refraction of acrylic glass compared to normal glass, the colours are more brilliant and the image sharper than compared to standard glass in a picture frame.

Framing and Advice

I do not offer custom framing due to the logistical difficulties. However, I highly recommend getting custom framing on arrival of your print. Cheap frames from stores use acidic materials that may damage the print. Contemporary black or white stylish framing suits almost all decors and is usually the most affordable custom frame option on the market. I also recommend framing your print behind UV museum glass. This is an anti-reflection picture framing glass with Conservation Grade UV Protection, which is the best glazing option available for photographs. Along with its nearly invisible finish, it effectively blocks up to 99% of harmful indoor and outdoor UV light rays so framed pieces remain clearer and brighter for longer ensuring that it can be enjoyed for years to come.
